Head of Marketing / Brand Director

Lead the marketing function and the stewardship of the Gravenos brand expression to the market.

Compensation: £70,000 to £100,000 base, plus equity

About the Role

The marketing posture of a serious analytical product is, in our reading, different in kind from the marketing posture of a consumer fintech. The voice is different, the audience is different, the conversion mechanics are different. This role exists to lead the marketing function in a way that is consistent with the seriousness of the product and the audience it serves.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the marketing function across all surfaces: the corporate site, the Drusus product, the editorial output, and the campaign work.
  • Own the channels: organic search, the Drusus Daily editorial product as a marketing surface, the social media presence, the partnership programme, and the relationship with the financial press.
  • Steward the brand expression: in collaboration with the product designer, ensure the voice and visual identity remain consistent across all expressions of the company.
  • Lead the team as it grows, including the content and design contractor relationships.

What We Are Looking For

  • Seven or more years of marketing experience, with substantial leadership of a marketing function.
  • Demonstrated capability in a register and idiom suited to a serious or editorial brand, not only consumer marketing.
  • Strong written communication and a robust intuition for the line between marketing and the editorial product.
  • Capability to operate with a constrained budget; bias towards organic and earned rather than paid channels.

Helpful but Not Required

  • Prior experience marketing a financial product, analytical product, or editorial brand.
  • Familiarity with the prosumer fintech audience the platform serves.
